2.Cancelling a therapy session
You can cancel any booked session from your dashboard:
- More than 12 hours before the session: free cancellation, full refund.
- 12 to 2 hours before the session: 50% cancellation fee, or one free reschedule within 14 days.
- Less than 2 hours before the session: no refund. The therapist’s time has already been reserved.
We send reminders 24 hours and 30 minutes before each session, so you have time to cancel within the free window if your plans change.
3.Rescheduling
- You may reschedule a session free of charge up to 12 hours before its start time, subject to the therapist’s availability.
- Inside the 12-hour window, rescheduling counts as a cancellation under the rules in section 2.
- A single session may be rescheduled at most twice. After that, please cancel and book a fresh slot.
4.No-shows
- A session is marked as a no-show if you do not join within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time and have not cancelled in advance.
- No-shows are not refundable, except where caused by a documented emergency (see the Refund Policy section on exceptional circumstances).
- Repeated no-shows (three or more in a 90-day period) may result in a temporary booking restriction so we can keep slots open for other clients.
5.Cancellation by the therapist
If a therapist cancels a confirmed session, you receive:
- A 100% refund or a free reschedule with the same therapist, your choice.
- If a free reschedule is chosen but the therapist cannot offer a slot within 14 days, you may switch to a different therapist or take the refund instead, with no fee.
- Where the cancellation happens with less than 2 hours’ notice, we will additionally credit ₹200 to your wallet as an inconvenience credit, valid for 90 days.
6.Cancellation by Sagemitra
Very rarely, Sagemitra may need to cancel a session or service due to:
- Technical failure that prevents the service from running
- A safety concern that requires escalation
- Suspension of a therapist’s account for policy or legal reasons
In these cases you receive a full refund or an equivalent reschedule with another suitable therapist, at no extra cost.
7.Cancelling course access
- You may cancel within the 7-day refund window, provided you have consumed less than 20% of the content. See Refund Policy section 4.
- After this window, you keep access for the period stated on the course page (typically lifetime), but the purchase is non-refundable.
- You can stop using a course at any time without notifying us; this does not by itself trigger a refund.
8.Subscriptions & memberships
Where Sagemitra offers a recurring subscription (introduced from time to time):
- You can cancel a subscription at any time from your dashboard or by writing to support@sagemitra.com.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. The current paid period continues to the end of its term, except where the law requires a pro-rata refund.
- We do not auto-charge after a paid trial without a clear reminder email at least 3 days before the charge.
9.Corporate plan cancellation
Corporate plans are governed by the signed Master Services Agreement (MSA). The MSA defines notice periods, exit terms, and any pro-rata adjustments. In the absence of contrary terms in the MSA:
- Either party may terminate for material breach with 30 days’ written notice and a chance to cure.
- Convenience termination by the customer mid-term does not trigger a refund of fees paid for the current contract year.
- Termination by Sagemitra for the customer’s convenience entitles the customer to a pro-rata refund of unused fees.
10.Closing your account
You may close your account at any time. To do so, write to support@sagemitra.com from the email address registered with your account.
- Active bookings and obligations must be handled before closure: we will guide you through any open sessions or pending payments.
- Personal data will be retained or deleted in line with the Privacy Policy, including the 5-year clinical retention period.
- Where the law requires longer retention (for example, financial records under tax law), only the legally mandated subset is kept.
11.How to cancel
- For sessions: open the booking from your dashboard and select Cancel or Reschedule.
- For courses, subscriptions, and account closure: write to support@sagemitra.com from your registered email with the action you want and the relevant order ID.
- You will receive an acknowledgement within 2 business days. Where a refund is due, the timeline in the Refund Policy applies.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. The policy in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email and reflected on this page with a new effective date.
